            In 1989, FACE was founded by CEO Penny Norton. It was at this time that we produced and released our first
            four posters targeted to college-age youth. This fledgling, but determined beginning, was made possible by two
            years of seed funding provided by The Dow Chemical Company. One of our original four posters featured a toilet
            we had purchased at Sears. In an attempt to save money, we returned it as soon as the photos were taken for
            the concept.

            Today, FACE offers over 700 products in 46 categories ranging from films and publications to public service
            announcements and training materials. We work with over 5,000 organizations nationwide and are widely
            recognized and respected throughout the substance abuse prevention arena. We operate six websites including
            a full-service online catalog. Recently, our services have expanded from training and speaking to working with
            states and communities on media campaigns designed to raise awareness about specific alcohol issues.

            Our new goal is to communicate with the public. We are
            conducting a blog on alcohol topics. You will find us on
            social networking websites, and we are providing a
            central hub of information where almost any
            alcohol-related topic can be found.

            In the days and years ahead, we look forward to
            expanding our communication with the public in addition
            to providing new resources and services for everyone.
            It is our belief that by providing truthful and clear
            solutions, we can change the way alcohol negatively
            impacts our lives.
